The Community Unit School District 300 School Board has exchanged its "last best offers" with the local teachers union, LEAD 300, and those offers have been made available to the public. These actions move the school district one step closer to a strike.

The last best offers can be viewed online on the district's website and also on the union's website. Although the state's labor law calls for the two sides to submit final offers, they can continue to bargain.

District 300 teachers have already authorized LEAD300 to call a strike. No strike date has been set, but at this point the union could call for a walkout after giving ten days’ notice.
