Canada Rationing Health Care

One good way - some would say the best way - to determine how something might work is to look at how it is doing in the places where it is already being tried.

Democrats insist that government can run health care.

Canada has a lot of experience in this area and they are currently doing exactly what many of us insist America will soon have to do: rationing.

From the Toronto Star comes this warning in the province of Ontario:

In the face of a $24.7 billion deficit and "unsustainable" growth in health-care funding, the province has signaled radical reforms are on the way for hospitals.

But Ontario Hospital Association president Tom Closson says the cuts to date have been "modest" and have not hurt patients.

Still, he admits it's getting close to that.

So, even the apologists for socialized medicine are worried.

We should be as well.
