The 2012 elections will take place at a time of deep polarization and extraordinary political volatility. For many political observers this is reason to fret.

Join the Illinois Policy Institute as we host Stephen Hayes as part of our Liberty Speakers Series. Hayes will argue that while the conditions that have led to this polarization are worrisome -- dramatic increases in spending, deficits and debt -- the clear choice this offers voters is a good thing and sets the stage for a serious debate about our national -- and state -- priorities.
