Tom Demmer | Fiscal Policy Advisor

Tom Demmer serves as a fiscal policy advisor for the institute, helping analyze state and local policy issues and crafting solutions to some of the state’s most pressing problems.

Demmer represented the 90th District from 2013 to 2023, advocating for more responsible state budgeting as the deputy House Republican leader, among various committee roles. He was also a former member of the Lee County Board and ran a statewide campaign for Illinois treasurer in 2022.
