Support expanding food trucks in Chicago

BETA

Summary

The legislation would loosen restrictions on food trucks by allowing them to operate on private property with permission. This legislation would also allow trucks to operate for four hours instead of the current two-hour limit, and would permit trucks to operate within 200 feet of a restaurant provided this occurs outside of the restaurant’s listed operating hours. Relaxing these restrictions would provide more options for consumers, increase economic activity, and foster a more welcoming business climate.
