1/5/2010

On January 20th the Institute hosted Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and author of "Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud, and Deception to Keep You Misinformed."  for an evening of food, drinks, and discussion.  During his remarks Mr. Horner talked about errors in the science that is used to prove increases in CO2 cause increases in global temperatures, and he argued that scientists have the relationship between CO2 and warming backwards.

Mr. Horner also exposed the darker side of the environmental movement, with power-hungry politicians, blacklisted scientists, corrupt researchers, and compliant media outlets.  With millions of dollars in research grants, campaign contributions, and profits on the line; scientists, politicians, and businesses have banded together to manipulate scientific data for their own financial gain.

Following his presentation Mr. Horner took questions and signed books.
