$45K Grant Given to Help Fund Tour Boat

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) gave a $45,000 grant to buy a tour boat.

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) gave a $45,000 grant in fiscal year 2008 to Starved Rock Adventures in Ottawa to “assist in the purchase of a tour boat” that will host a “two hour narrated cruise.” The DCEO’s grant tracker says the grant’s (#08-335024) funding will come from “a portion of the state’s hotel-motel tax revenue.”
