Using our transparency website, IllinoisOpenGov.org, I found that the State of Illinois spent $3,602 on expenses to the Wolf Point Hotel Company in 2008 and $19,987 in 2009 (by the time of our FOIA request). In 2008, the expenses were fairly evenly spread amongst three departments, but in 2009, the Department of Public Health spent $18,174.76, which is over 26 times more than the next department.
