$1.5 Million in Wages at the Lieutenant Governor

Does the Lieutenant Governor need a $1.5 per year work force?

by Mark Cavers

In 2008, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office employed 52 individuals who made $1,459,269 in combined total wages.  The highest paid employee was the Director of Operations who made $77,000 in 2008.  Total wages in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office were greater than the wages for all employees of the “Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission,” “Illinois Executive Ethics Commission,” and the “Violence Prevention Authority” combined.
