Congress should pass, and President Barack Obama should sign, a permanent extension of the Bush tax cuts.
To get there, Speaker Pelosi must commit to holding an up-or-down vote on stopping the coming tax hikes. Sooner, rather than later. It isn’t surprising to find her ignoring Republican calls for tax relief; will she listen to members of her own caucus calling for an extension of the tax cuts?
