Chicago – You might have been measuring the height of the snowfall on your deck or your driveway this week, but there are a number of people who have been measuring its impact on your wallet. And you may want to grip it tightly.

The city, suburbs and state are spending millions of tax dollars to clear the snow and ice, and some suggest we can find ways to do it for less, especially in the middle of a budget crisis.

We’re joined this morning by John Tillman from the Illinois Policy Institute, and Ralph Martire of the Center for Budget and Tax Accountability.
