Preckwinkle Mum About Probation Department, FOIA’d
The Institute has filed a FOIA request seeking any e-mail sent or received by Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle's concerning the trouble-plagued Adult Probation Department.

Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, who campaigned as a reformer, apparently doesn’t want to discuss the county’s trouble-plagued Adult Probation Department.
Dozens of calls and e-mails seeking to arrange an interview placed to her office and key staffers have yet to be returned.
To add clarity to its ongoing investigation of the probation department, and to ascertain whether any reforms are planned or likely, the Illinois Policy Institute filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request Monday, seeking copies of “all e-mails containing the word ‘probation’ sent or received by Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle on the county e-mails system from December 1, 2010 to the present date.”
The Institute will update this site with the results of this request.
