During the campaign Governor Quinn suggested that he would veto tax hike over 1%, now what?

Sources across the state are reporting that the Illinois Legislature is considering hiking taxes by at least 75%, a 2.25 percentage point increase over the current rate.

During the campaign, Governor Quinn ran on a 1 percentage point education surcharge.  Governor Quinn  promised to veto any plan that was not his own, a 1 percentage point education surcharge.  “I am going to veto anything that isn’t my plan” said the Governor.  Will the Governor live up to his campaign promise and veto any tax increase 33%?  Call Governor Quinn and let him know how you feel about a tax increase.
