Benjamin Hines | Legal Research Intern

Benjamin Hines is a recent graduate of Southwest Baptist University earning a degree in
political science with a pre-law emphasis. His leadership experiences include being elected as
Student Body President, serving as an ambassador for the University President’s office, and
providing leadership as a competing member of the Speaking Bearcats Speech and Debate
team. While an undergraduate, Ben studied abroad in Israel, and served on missions teams
throughout the United States. Most recently, his experience serving as a Congressional Intern in
Washington, D.C. provided him a unique perspective into governmental affairs and
policymaking. Ben is grateful to be interning with the Illinois Policy Institute and is hoping to
expand his knowledge base as he prepares to enter law school next fall.
