Ellen Mulaney | Senior Fellow


Ellen is a Senior Fellow for the Institute, helping analyze state and local issues, with a particular interest in government reform in the City of Chicago.

Ellen is a Senior Lecturer Emerita on the residential faculty of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where she taught for seventeen years, specializing in Torts, Contract Drafting and Legislation and Regulation. Previously Ellen practiced corporate and tax law at law firms in Washington DC and Chicago.

Ellen has served on the Illinois State Board of Ethics, the Committee on Character and Fitness of the Illinois State Bar, and the School Board of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  She currently is a Board Member of the Misericordia Foundation.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and her law degree from Yale Law School.
