Olivia Hickam | Intern
Olivia is an ambitious junior at Cedarville University studying political science with a deep passion for seeing change within government and an America First approach in everything. She is Vice President and Ambassador at her school for a National non-profit organization that addresses political issues and advocates for change. Olivia seeks to grow her knowledge and skills through every opportunity presented to her so that she can be a well-rounded individual, especially on critical issues affecting society. She believes age is just a number, having started her love for government and politics as the youngest staffer for a national political leadership school in Missouri at age 15. Since then, she has worked on multiple campaigns, completed an internship with America First Policy Institute last fall, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency over this past summer. Additionally, she will be attending the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom this spring, studying national security and political science in order to grow stronger academically in order to better help America. She loves chatting with anyone, especially over a good cup of coffee, as she seeks to foster genuine connections and hear others’ opinions in a world that values so little of it. Olivia is grateful for the opportunity to join IPI this fall and use her skills to help address pressing issues facing Illinois!
