Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s office says there have been more than two dozen threats made to unemployment offices across the state since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those threats range from vandalism to arson, to bomb threats.

The combined state and local sales tax rate in Illinois ranks among the highest in the county.
That’s according to research conducted by the Tax Foundation, an independent tax policy nonprofit, which looked at a population-weighted average of local taxes in addition to the statewide rate. The average combined sales tax rate in Illinois is just over 8.8%.

That’s the word from state health officials who reported today another 25,715 doses had made it into the arms of Illinois residents and workers.
