Despite a monumental traffic debacle along Lake Shore Drive, the Illinois Policy Institute said Chicago City Hall did an “exceptional job” responding to the Great Blizzard of 2011.

Chicago – Despite a monumental traffic debacle along Lake Shore Drive, the Illinois Policy Institute said Chicago City Hall did an “exceptional job” responding to the Great Blizzard of 2011.

“Lake Shore Drive was an anomaly. A really great job was done all across the rest of the city,” said Daniel Anthony. He’s a member of the Illinois Policy Institute’s Snow Squad. He said it was formed last winter to monitor City Hall’s response to such weather emergencies. “It’s a good way to measure the effectiveness of city services,” he said.
