Illinois Policy Institute CEO John Tillman appeared on FOX Chicago to discuss Senate President John Cullerton’s suggestion that retirement income be taxed.

“Instead of trying to figure out how we can become one of the nine states that don’t have income tax, we’re talking about imitating states that have taxes on more and more income,” Tillman told FOX Chicago anchor Robin Robinson. “We just passed the largest tax hike in the state’s history – $7 billion. It’s still not enough to balance the budget. Gov. Quinn is proposing more borrowing, and of course now they’re trying to figure out new ways to get into people’s pocketbooks.”
