Moving the Wrong Way on Transparency

The "most transparent administration in history" institutes nondisclosure agreements

Politico reports a troubling development coming out of the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department. HUD is demanding that groups participating in talks with the department sign a confidentiality agreement or risk being excluded from any further talks.

A spokesperson for Illinois Representative Judy Biggert said he is “confident the congresswoman will seek immediate answers from HUD as to why industry participants are being told to keep quiet if they want a seat at the table.
