Do you remember when President Obama pledged that he wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year? Or his argument with George Stephanopoulos in which he claimed the individual mandate isn’t a tax?
Now the Obama Administration is arguing that the individual mandate is a tax!
What is the reason for this sudden flip flop?
According to the National Federation of Independent Business Fact Pattern Report, the Obama Administration is “hiding behind a 200-year old law, the Anti-Injunction Act, which prevents courts from determining the constitutionality of taxes.”
Now, in their most recent Fact Pattern Report, the NFIB discusses why it is becoming increasingly difficult for a business to keep offering their current health care plans. For example, the new rules are set up so that even a modest increase in the deductible can make the plan unacceptable by government standards.
The National Federation of Independent Business is working hard to overturn ObamaCare because it negatively impacts small businesses. They’re challenging the law along with the 20 states in Florida District Court.
