End payroll deductions for government workers’ union dues

Under Illinois law, collective bargaining agreements can provide for the payroll deduction of labor organization dues, fair share payments, imitation fees and assessments. Taxpayer resources should not be spent providing collection services for public unions. Unions should provide this self-benefiting service.

House Bill 3765, filed Feb. 10, 2017 by state Rep. Keith Wheeler, R-Oswego, will ensure employers cannot deduct labor organization expenses from any employee paychecks.
