This week, six states were allowed to join the Florida-based lawsuit challenging the individual mandate and other aspects of ObamaCare. The federal judge overseeing the case granted the joinder motion the day after it was filed and  is expected to release an opinion on the case in the coming weeks.

With the new additions, there are now 26 states participating in the Florida-based lawsuit. In a written statement, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said, “It sends a strong message that more than half of the states consider the health care law unconstitutional and are willing to fight it in court.” Virginia has filed a separate lawsuit, and Oklahoma plans to file their own suit as well.
