Governor Gary Johnson: Part 2 – Righting the Financial Ship

Part two of Governor Gary Johnsons speech at an Illinois Policy Institute Event on March 23.

Governor Gary Johnson didn’t want to be involved in national politics after his terms as governor but has become concerned, especially around 18 months ago, with the direction of the country.  “This country is bankrupt,” he said.  “I believe we on the verge of an imminent financial collapse unless we right the financial ship.”

Governor Johnson said he supports repealing President Obama’s health care overhaul, but also said that Republicans would gain a lot of credibility toward this end if they also supported repealing the prescription health care benefit plan that has significantly contributed to our record deficits.
