Gerrin Alexander | Research Associate


Gerrin Treneé Alexander is a Research Associate at the Chicago Policy Center with the Illinois Policy Institute. She started her journey at the institute as a Policy Analyst intern. Gerrin is a graduate of the University of Chicago, holding degrees in political science and public policy studies.

She serves on the founding editorial board of The Chicago Thinker, UChicago’s first independent, student-run newspaper for conservative and libertarian voices on campus. Gerrin has been featured in NewsweekCampus Reform, the First Amendment MuseumFox & Friends, and, of course, The Chicago Thinker. She was also a member of the Social Media Governance Task Force for Georgetown Law’s Center on National Security report, Social Media: The Canary in the Coal Mine.

Gerrin furthered her studies abroad and earned a master’s degree in international relations from the International University of Japan.
