The Village of Lindenhurst has cut 2 million dollars from its budget for next year, and according to Village Administrator Matt Formica, residents will still get everything they expect from the Village.
Lindenhurst has done a tremendous job of streamlining operations and cutting unnecessary costs, and the Illinois Policy Institute recently applauded and collaborated with them to produce a comprehensive case study on the Village’s initiatives, detailing how it became more cost-efficient and saved nearly 1 million dollars over the last two years.
Municipalities throughout Illinois should take note, check out the case study on Lindenhurst, which explains how the Village has stayed ahead of the challenges of the economy, and see what initiatives they too can implement to save tax dollars and provide efficient, quality-driven services to their communities.
